India’s crude oil production falls 4% to 2768.95 TMT in July

The Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas in its latest provisional data has showed that India’s crude oil production decreased by 4.40% to 2768.95 Thousand Metric Tonnes (TMT) during July, 2019, compared with 2896.25 TMT in July, 2018. It is also 5.41% lower than target. Cumulative crude oil production during April-July, 2019 was 10975.60 TMT, 3.48% lower than target of 11371.78 TMT and 6.22% lower than production of 11703.42 TMT during corresponding period of last year.

According to the data, natural gas production during July, 2019 was 2717.92 Million Metric Standard Cubic Meter per Day (MMSCM), 0.16% higher when compared with July, 2018 but 5.62% lower than the monthly target. Cumulative natural gas production during April-July, 2019 was 10748.77 MMSCM, 5.06% lower than target for the period and 0.31% lower than production during corresponding period of last year.

Data also showed that refinery production during July, 2019 was 21777.03 TMT, 4.14% lower than the target for the month and 2.82% lower when compared with July, 2018. Cumulative production during April-July, 2019 was 84360.60 TMT, 0.94% lower than the target for the period and 2.32% lower than the production during corresponding period of last year.
