Physical rubber prices improve further on Tuesday

Physical rubber prices continued its upmove on Tuesday, as the market firmed up on supply concerns due to widespread rains all over in plantation areas.

Spot prices for RSS-4 variety continued to improve to Rs 174/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 172/ kg, while RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 166/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 164/ kg.

In the futures market, contract of September delivery improved to Rs 174 compared to its previous close of Rs 173.40, while October delivery closed at Rs 170.90 compared to Rs 170.57 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
