Physical Rubber prices witness some weakness on Monday

Physical Rubber prices showed some weakness on Monday, pressured by sluggish demand from tyre makers along with expectation of higher imports in the markets. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety remained unchanged at Rs 140/kg; while the RSS-5 variety declined to 135/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 136/ kg.

In the futures market, September delivery rose to Rs 136.66 compared to its previous closing of Rs 135.64 on the Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX).
