Infosys surges on the BSE

Infosys is currently trading at Rs. 797.70, up by 12.70 points or 1.62% from its previous closing of Rs. 785.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 785.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 799.00 and Rs. 785.10 respectively. So far 120674 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 809.95 on 23-Aug-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 600.65 on 26-Nov-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 809.95 and Rs. 781.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 339821.29 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 13.04%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 56.34% and 13.25% respectively.

Infosys has bought back 11.05 crore of its shares under its Rs 8,260 crore buyback offer that began in March 2019. Consequently, the buyback committee has approved the closure of the buyback with effect from August 26, 2019, prior to the expiry of six months from the commencement date.

In January, Infosys had announced that it would buy back shares of the company for an amount aggregating up to Rs 8,260 crore (maximum buyback size) at a price not exceeding Rs 800 per equity share. The buyback commenced on March 20, 2019.
