Asian markets ended mostly higher on Tuesday on expectations that new talks between the US and China can lead to progress. Investors are awaited cues from the ECB, Fed and BoJ meetings for fresh clues on the monetary policy outlook. Japanese shares ended higher as weaker yen and higher bond yields helped lift exporters and financials. Though, Chinese shares ended slightly lower after the release of inflation data signaled weakness in domestic and overseas demand. China's consumer prices climbed at a steady pace in August, while producer prices declined to their worst year-on-year contraction in three years.
