Physical Rubber prices witness weakness on Thursday

Physical Rubber prices showed weakness on Thursday on account of expectations of higher import along with sluggish demand from tyre markers. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety declined to 139/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 140/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety fell to 135/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 135.50/ kg.

In the futures market, October delivery fell to Rs 131.72 compared to its previous closing of Rs 132.23, while November delivery was at Rs 130.90 compared to its previous close of Rs 134.94 on the Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX).
