DHFL defaults on principal & interest payments on NCDs

Dewan Housing Finance Corporation (DHFL) has defaulted on principal and interest payments on Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) aggregating to Rs 104.54 crore. The gross principal amount on which the above-mentioned default occurred is Rs 100 crore.

DHFL is one of India’s premier housing finance companies and is among the oldest private sector Housing Finance Companies (HFC) in India. The company was established to enable access to affordable housing finance to the lower and middle income groups in semi-urban and rural parts of India.
