HDFC’s JV, Airtel Payments Bank launch Mosquito Diseases Protection Policy

HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company, a 51:49 joint venture between the Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) and ERGO International AG, and Airtel Payments Bank, India’s first Payments Bank, have launched an innovative Mosquito Diseases Protection Policy (MDPP) as a part of their objective to drive insurance adoption in the country through affordable and easily accessible products. The partnership aims to bring together the deep distribution network of Airtel Payments Bank and the strong innovation pipeline of HDFC ERGO to contribute to financial inclusion in the country.

HDFC offers a whole gamut of products like loans to individuals, loans to corporates, construction finance, and lease rental discounting. The financial conglomerate has subsidiaries and associates in insurance (general and life), asset management, education finance, venture funds and banking services.
