Cyient gains despite reporting 23% fall in Q2 consolidated net profit

Cyient is currently trading at Rs. 449.50, up by 3.05 points or 0.68% from its previous closing of Rs. 446.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 459.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 459.90 and Rs. 439.95 respectively. So far 14334 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 693.30 on 19-Oct-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 414.00 on 30-Aug-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 466.65 and Rs. 439.95 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4933.86 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 22.74%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 65.76% and 11.51% respectively.

Cyient has reported 41.58% fall in its net profit at Rs 88.50 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2019 as compared to Rs 151.50 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 15.68% at Rs 429.60 crore for Q2FY20 as compared Rs 509.50 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a fall of 23.23% in its net profit at Rs 97.50 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 127.00 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 4.70% at Rs 1185.30 crore for Q2FY20 as compared Rs 1243.80 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
