Congress Leader Jagdish Tytler is to meet State of PMO Narayanasamy in Bhubaneshwar, on Thursday, amid widespread demand of his arrest followed by a provocative speech at a Congress rally on September 6.

By accusing for instigating the party men to attack the police and for assaulting a woman constable during the rally, two police organizations and the ruling Biju Janata Dal party had come up demanding arrest of Tytler. This issue was raised nearly a week, after the state Congress leaders clashed with policemen outside the Assembly and injured several, including a woman constable.

Odisha Police has registered case against Tytler and others under section 147 (rioting), 148 Rioting with deadly weapons), 149 (unlawful assembly), 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant), 353 (assault of public servant), 354 (assault on women with intent to outrage modesty), 506 (criminal intimidation), 307 (attempt to murder) and 120 (B) (criminal conspiracy) of IPC. However, Tytler denied the allegations and has agreed to address the media later on Thursday. Narayanasamy might also join in the press meeting in Bhubaneswar.
