Physical Rubber prices witness firmness on Thursday

Physical Rubber prices showed firmness on Thursday due to fresh demand from domestic stockists. Further, sharp decline in production owing to adverse weather conditions also added support to rubber prices. However, expectations of rise in imports and weak demand from tyre makers, capped its up-move.

Spot prices for RSS-4 variety gained to 123.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 123/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety jumped to 121/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 120/ kg.
