Cochin Shipyard shines on bagging contract worth Rs 175.70 crore

Cochin Shipyard is currently trading at Rs. 400.00, up by 7.85 points or 2.00% from its previous closing of Rs. 392.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 393.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 402.80 and Rs. 386.50 respectively. So far 14527 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 408.15 on 09-Apr-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 320.15 on 15-Oct-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 402.80 and Rs. 341.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5143.89 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 75.21%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 13.91% and 10.87% respectively.

Cochin Shipyard has bagged contract from Kochi Metro Rail (KMRL) for design and construction of 23 nos. of Hybrid-Electric Passenger Ferries for the Kochi Water Metro Project. The value of the contract is Rs 175.70 crore.

Cochin Shipyard is the first Greenfield and presently the most modern shipbuilding and ship repair yard in India. The company caters to clients engaged in India’s defence segment and global commercial shipping sector.
