Piramal Enterprises soars on seeking shareholders' nod to raise Rs 1,750 crore from Canadian investor

Piramal Enterprises is currently trading at Rs. 1697.60, up by 29.90 points or 1.79% from its previous closing of Rs. 1666.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1676.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1750.00 and Rs. 1670.85 respectively. So far 80387 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2795.95 on 01-Apr-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1302.00 on 15-Oct-2019.

Piramal Enterprises is seeking shareholders' nod to raise Rs 1,750 crore from a Canadian investor by issuing compulsorily convertible debentures (CCDs). An extraordinary general meeting is scheduled to be held on November 25 in Mumbai.  The company requires additional funding for various purposes, including general corporate purposes, in view of its future outlook, growth targets and prospects.
