Dai-Ichi Karkaria spurts on entering into full and final settlement with HKS

Dai-Ichi Karkaria is currently trading at Rs. 350.00, up by 5.55 points or 1.61% from its previous closing of Rs. 344.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 359.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 361.00 and Rs. 345.10 respectively. So far 12102 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'XT' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 361.00 on 05-Nov-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 158.00 on 06-Feb-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 361.00 and Rs. 295.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 260.05 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.82%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.52% and 35.66% respectively.

Dai-Ichi Karkaria has entered into full and final settlement with Hind Kamgar Sanghtana, an unrecognised labour union (HKS) for an amount of Rs 3.65 crore for ending the Labour issues in the company. Pursuant to implementation of the settlement, all the litigations filed against the company by HKS will be withdrawn and the agitation outside the Factory Gate of Kasarwadi Plant will be ended.

The settlement will help the company to focus on moving the necessary machinery, equipment and stock to its Dahej Plant and complete the necessary Post – Closure formalities pertaining to the Kasarwadi Plant.

Dai-Ichi Karkaria is engaged in the development and manufacture of high performance specialty chemicals.
