Oil India (OIL) has reported a record annual production of oil at 3.847 million metric tones in FY12 while the company has also registered stellar production numbers of natural gas at 2,633.29 million metric standard cubic meters in the last fiscal.
Meanwhile, the company’s turnover surged 18.54% to Rs 9,863.23 crore Y-o-Y basis remained highest so far. Moreover, the profit after tax touched a new peak of Rs 3,446.92, up 19.36% over the previous year.
Improved financial performance has helped the company to increase its net worth to Rs 17,721 crore against Rs 15,602 crore in 2010-11.
The company reported a rise of 9.45% in its net profit at Rs 929.93 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 849.61 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The total income from operation of the company increased by 10.28% at Rs 2816.81 crore for Q1FY13 as compared Rs 2554.14 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
