Asian markets trade lower in early deals on Monday

Asian equity benchmarks are trading lower on Monday amid uncertainty about US-China trade deal. Moreover, rising political turmoil in Hong Kong dampened market sentiments. Though, modest gains in the US stock market curtailed some losses. Japan's Nikkei is in negative territory, though opened higher as the report that Japan's core machinery orders dipped in September for a third straight month, weighing  sentiment. Among the other Asian markets, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, Shanghai and Malasia are trading lower.

Nikkei 225 down 44.80 points 0.19% to 23,347.07, Straits Times narrowed 15.52 points or 0.48% to 3,248.78, Hang Seng decreased 580.59 points or 2.10% to 27,070.55, Taiwan Weighted dipped 148.85 points or 1.29% to 11,430.69, KOSPI Index narrowed 9.26 points or 0.43% to 2,127.97, Jakarta Composite declined by 32.88 points or 0.53% to 6,145.11, Shanghai dipped 36.14 1.22% to 2,928.04.and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI diminished 2.60 points or 0.16% to 1,607.13.
