Asian markets trade lower in early deals on Wednesday

Asian equity benchmarks are trading lower on Wednesday, with lack-luster cues from Wall Street as the much-awaited speech from President Donald Trump at the Economic Club of New York failed to deliver any potential updates on US-China trade deal. Japan's Nikkei is trading lower, as safe heaven yen strengthened. Among the other Asian markets, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Shanghai and Malaysia are in lower trend. 

Nikkei 225 down 215.59 points 0.92% to 23,304.42, Straits Times declined 20.01 points or 0.61% to 3,247.79, Hang Seng decreased 477.47 points or 1.76% to 26,587.81, Taiwan Weighted diminished 48.71 points or 0.42% to 11,471.66, KOSPI Index narrowed 21.11 points or 0.99% to 2,119.81, Jakarta Composite contracted by 22.23 points or 0.36% to 6,158.76, Shanghai dipped 4.27 points or 0.15% to 2,910.55 and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI shrunk 7.37 points or 0.46% to 1,602.36.
