TMC’s deadline to UPA ends tomorrow, on FDI in retail sector and diesel price hike

Mamata Banerjee led Trinamool Congress (TMC) had warned United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government, to rollback its decision on allowing 51 % Foreign Direct Investment in multi -brand retail sector and diesel price hike, by describing it as anti-people policies. And urged on a 72 hour deadline, by September 18th,  to withdraw the policies announced.
 
Further, TMC chief Mamata Banerjee pointed out that TMC would pull out its ministers from the Cabinet and might also withdraw its support from UPA government incase it fails to roll back its twin decisions.TMC leader Kunal Ghosh also reaffirmed that this decision is not to destabilize the government but to overlook the interest of the common people. However, West Bengal state Congress Chief Pradip Bhattachrjee demanded the continuation of TMC in UPA government, and affirmed that UPA government is not concerned even if TMC withdraws its support.
