As the monsoon season comes to an end, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said that the delayed improvement of rains should open up prospects for major rabi crops like wheat, relieving to an extent worries over farm growth outlook.
The overall monsoon deficit has declined to 7% from 22%. The revival of monsoon augurs well for rabi crops in last one month but Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan continue to face scarcity of rainfall.
