Oil India, Assam Gas Company and GAIL Gas have incorporated a Joint Venture (JV) Company in the Name of ‘Purba Bharati Gas’ on November 19, 2019 having its registered office at Guwahati, Assam.

The JV is for development of City Gas Distribution Network in Kamrup & Kamrup Metropolitan (Guwahati) and Cachar, Hailakandi & Karimganj districts in Assam.

Oil India, a Navratna Company, is Asia's oldest and biggest pioneer oil exploration and Production Company.
