NMDC gains on receiving allocation of ‘Rohne’ Coal Block

NMDC is currently trading at Rs. 118.25, up by 1.10 points or 0.94% from its previous closing of Rs. 117.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 118.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 118.85 and Rs. 118.50 respectively. So far 58414 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 120.45 on 03-Jul-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 74.80 on 23-Aug-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 118.85 and Rs. 110.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 35869.57 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.28%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.15% and 4.58% respectively.

NMDC has received allocation of 'Rohne' Coal Block. This allocation would ensure the coking coal requirement of NMDC’s upcoming steel plant at Nagarnar, Chattisgarh to some extent. This is an important step for raw material security for the steel plant and also to some extent reduce the import of Coking Coal.

NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
