Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has signed agreement with security services provider Si Consult to strengthen cyber security services and safeguard the interests of stockbrokers. The move comes after markets regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) in December 2018 put in place a stricter cyber security framework for stock brokers and depository participants amid concerns over possible data breaches.
BSE provides an efficient and transparent market for trading in equity, debt instruments, derivatives, mutual funds. It also has a platform for trading in equities of small-and-medium enterprises (SME).
