Coal India surges on tying up with OCPL

Coal India is currently trading at Rs. 199.10, up by 1.80 points or 0.91% from its previous closing of Rs. 197.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 198.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 199.50 and Rs. 197.20 respectively. So far 42196 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 270.90 on 06-Jun-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 177.80 on 22-Aug-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 202.60 and Rs. 194.95 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 122669.11 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 69.26%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 27.91% and 2.83% respectively.

Coal India (CIL) has tied up with a state government-owned coal company, Odisha Coal and Power (OCPL), to buy 6,000 tonnes of coal per day from the Manoharpur captive mine of OCPL.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
