Coal India reports 7.2% rise in production in December

Coal India (CIL) has reported rise in its production by 7.2% to 58.02 million tonnes in December 2019. The production in the same month a year ago stood at 54.14 million tonnes. Coal offtake during December too increased by 1.9% to 53.63 million tonnes as compared with 52.61 million tonnes in the year-ago month.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
