Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) opened an executive lounge at the first platform of Madurai railway station in Tamil Nadu. The lounge has been designed aesthetically and provides a cost effective option for passengers who use retiring rooms at the stations.
The executive lounge has a separate reception area and different options like recliner room, business center, cloak room and dining area based on your need. The lounge can be used by paying Rs 60. The cost includes facilities like free water bottle, comfortable seats, newspapers and magazines, free WiFi, shoe shiner machine and access to a clean restroom.
IRCTC is the only entity authorised by the Indian railways to provide catering services to railways, online railway tickets and packaged drinking water at railway stations and trains in India.
