Sterlite Technologies surges as its arm signs agreement to acquire stake in ASOCS

Sterlite Technologies is currently trading at Rs. 128.35, up by 4.10 points or 3.30% from its previous closing of Rs. 124.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 127.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 129.80 and Rs. 126.45 respectively. So far 70071 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 301.55 on 22-Jan-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 96.65 on 23-Aug-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 129.80 and Rs. 118.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5018.21 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 53.68%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 12.76% and 33.56% respectively.

Sterlite Technologies’ (STL) wholly owned subsidiary -- Sterlite Global Venture (Mauritius) has entered into definitive agreements to acquire 12.8% stake (on issued and outstanding basis) in ASOCS, a vRAN technology company based out of Israel. The privately held company is a pioneer in virtual Radio Access Networks (vRAN) and a provider of fully virtualized, NFV-compatible virtual Base Station solutions for Enterprise and Telco-Networks.
