Bharat Wire Ropes has defaulted on Rs 219.70 crore owed to state-owned banks. Of the default amount, the principal overdue is Rs 144.84 crore, while the interest overdue is Rs 74.86 crore.

The company’s total outstanding borrowings from banks and financial institutions stood at Rs 570.71 crore.

Bharat Wire Ropes is engaged in manufacturing and sales of wire ropes, structural strands, slings and wires which find its application in general engineering, fishing, elevators, cranes, material handling, power transmission, suspension bridges, onshore / offshore oil exploration, ports and shipping, mining, defence, railways etc.
