Bond yields trade lower on Tuesday

Bond yields edged lower on Tuesday, ahead of the central bank’s so-called special open market operation due later this week.

Furthermore, Oil prices rose after Libya declared force majeure on two major oilfields following a military blockade and protests escalated in Iraq, raising supply concerns.

Back home, the yields on new 10 year Government Stock were trading 1 basis point lower at 6.63% from its previous close of 6.64% on Monday.

The benchmark five-year interest rates were trading 1 basis point lower at 6.40% from its previous close of 6.41% on Monday.
