Bharti Airtel surges on getting DoT’s nod for increasing limit of foreign investment

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 517.60, up by 6.25 points or 1.22% from its previous closing of Rs. 511.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 515.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 524.00 and Rs. 513.00 respectively. So far 15746 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 524.00 on 21-Jan-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 269.25 on 05-Feb-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 524.00 and Rs. 468.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 278969.93 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 62.70%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.54% and 6.71% respectively.

Bharti Airtel has received the approval from Department of Telecommunications (DoT) for increasing the limit of foreign investment upto 100% of the paid up capital of the Company. The aforesaid approval read together with the RBI approval granted to the Company allows the FPIs/FIIs to invest upto 74% of the paid up capital of the Company.
