Bharti Airtel rings loudly on partnering with Western Union for money transfer service

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 519.20, up by 4.85 points or 0.94% from its previous closing of Rs. 514.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 516.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 521.25 and Rs. 512.60 respectively. So far 91113 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 524.00 on 22-Jan-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 269.25 on 05-Feb-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 524.00 and Rs. 470.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 282597.87 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 62.70%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.54% and 6.71% respectively.

Bharti Airtel has partnered with money transfer firm Western Union, wherein the former’s payments bank customers can receive international remittances into their accounts. The agreement is only for receiving money in Airtel Payments Bank account in India and Airtel Money account in 14 African countries from Western Union.

Collaborating with Western Union on these two flagship initiatives in both India and Africa reflects Bharti Airtel’s keen commitment to transform the quality of lives of millions of people across emerging and developing markets. The partnership will enable Airtel Payments Bank customer to withdraw money from its authorised 5 lakh outlets.
