Physical Rubber prices witness weakness on Friday

Physical Rubber prices showed weakness on Friday due to lack of enquiries from the non-tyre sector. Though, ongoing supply crunch in the market amid rising demand from domestic stockists, supported rubber prices. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety declined to 135.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 136/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety fell to 129/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 130/ kg.

In the futures market, February delivery fell to Rs 131.76 compared to its previous closing of Rs 132.14, while March delivery was at Rs 133.50 compared to its previous close of Rs 133.95 on the Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX).
