IRCTC gets nod from Railway Ministry to operate Varanasi-Indore Express via two routes

Ministry of Railways has given its approval to Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) to operate Varanasi-Indore Express (Biweekly) via Lucknow-Kanpur and Varanasi Indore Express (weekly) via Allahabad - Kanpur.

Varanasi Indore Express (weekly) Ex-varanasi train will have its inaugural run on February 16, 2020 and shall commence its commercial run with effect from February 20, 2020.

IRCTC is the only entity authorised by the Indian railways to provide catering services to railways, online railway tickets and packaged drinking water at railway stations and trains in India.
