Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation (SPIC) is currently trading at Rs. 17.75, up by 0.40 points or 2.31% from its previous closing of Rs. 17.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 17.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 17.90 and Rs. 17.60 respectively. So far 31166 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 27.30 on 11-Mar-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 16.40 on 22-Aug-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 19.90 and Rs. 16.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 361.46 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.79%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 2.41% and 44.81% respectively.

SPIC has shut down its plants on February 21, 2020 having achieved the annual production quota as per the norms of Department of Fertilizers.

The company will use this opportunity to carry out certain jobs which will improve the performance efficiency and in addition shall carry out necessary maintenance jobs. The company expects to resume the operations by April 01, 2020.

SPIC since its founding has been providing product and services that feed, nourish, and protect the agriculture and rural ecosystem. The company is now a well-diversified one with area of businesses spreading from fertilizers to pharma.
