Abbott jumps on launching new inactivated quadrivalent vaccine in India

Abbott India is currently trading at Rs. 15945.50, up by 390.80 points or 2.51% from its previous closing of Rs. 15554.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 15900.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 16265.00 and Rs. 15400.05 respectively. So far 753 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 16,265.00 on 24-Feb-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 7150.00 on 16-May-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 16265.00 and Rs. 14541.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 33839.19 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.99%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 8.08% and 16.93% respectively.

Abbott has launched a new inactivated quadrivalent vaccine for influenza offering protection against four virus strains in India. It is the only 0.5 ml quadrivalent flu vaccine in India that has been approved for use in children below three years. This particular type of vaccine provides good immune response with less side-effect. This is yet another significant step in Abbott's endeavour to protect as many people as possible against the flu.
