Pursuant to Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligation & Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company has informed that the Company has received a letter from Mark Simon, tendering his resignation as an Independent Director of the Company (copy enclosed). In his letter, Simon has conveyed that he intends to pursue an employment opportunity which might constrain his ability to function as an Independent Director of the Company. Further, Simon has stated that he tenders his resignation as an Independent Director on the Board of the Company and all the Committees there under in which he is a member, with immediate effect. Further, in compliance with clause 7B (ii) of Part A of Schedule B of the SEBI (LODR) Regulations, Simon has confirmed that that there is no material reason other than mentioned above for his resignation. The Chairman and Managing Director of the Company has accepted Simon’s resignation and has placed on record the appreciation for the valuable contributions by Simon during his association with the Company. The Board would appoint a suitable replacement in place of Simon within the time stipulated under the applicable laws/regulations.
