Himachal Futuristic Communications (HFCL) has received the purchase order worth approximately Rs 196 crore from Larsen & Toubro, Mount-Poonamallee Road, Manapakkam, Chennai, Tamilnadu (L&T) for supply of Optical Fibre Cables (OFC) for construction of Telangana Fiber Grid (T-Fiber) by them under Bharat Net Phase-II Programme of the Government of India, in the State of Telangana.
BharatNet Programme forms one of the Key Pillars of Digital India Program. It is a project of national importance, envisage to connect & provide broadband connectivity at around 2,50,500 Gram Panchayats in the country.
