Bharti Airtel rises on paying Rs 1,950 crore to DoT towards deferred spectrum dues

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 522.25, up by 1.05 points or 0.20 % from its previous closing of Rs. 521.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 523.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 528.90 and Rs. 520.00 respectively. So far 24128 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 568.60 on 18-Feb-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 279.07 on 05-Mar-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 536.00 and Rs. 512.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 284343.65 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 62.70%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.54% and 6.71% respectively.

Bharti Airtel has paid Rs 1,950 crore to Department of Telecommunications (DoT) towards its deferred spectrum dues. Deferred spectrum dues are essentially instalment payments that are made by telcos for airwaves bought in past auctions and are separate from their AGR liabilities.
