Cement major, ACC’s cement production in September 2012 registered a growth of 8.98% at 1.82 million tonne, as against 1.67 million tonne in the year-ago period. The company's dispatches in the month also increased by 1.16% at 1.75 million tonne, as against 1.73 million tonne in same month last year.
On cumulative basis, for the January-September period this year, its production increased 2.93% at 18.28 million tonne as against 17.76 million tonne in the year-ago, while its dispatches for the same period surged 1.28% at 18.22 million tonne as against 17.99 million tonne in the corresponding period.
ACC is India’s foremost manufacturer of cement and concrete. The company’s operations are spread throughout the country with 14 modern cement factories, more than 30 ready mix concrete plants, 20 sales offices, and several zonal offices.
