National Fertilizers (NFL) has registered the Highest-ever Fertilizer Sale in 2019-20, 5th time in a row. NFL has recorded total Fertilizer Sale of more than 57 lakh MT (LMT) of all products beating its previous best of 48.95 LMT achieved during 2018-19.
With this, the company achieved a sales growth of 16.2% over the previous year. The sustained sale growth of NFL has helped in retaining its position of second highest marketer of fertilizers in the country.
A big push, as in previous years, came from imported fertilizers, including Urea imported in Govt. account. Company despatched more than 21 Lakh MT of imported fertilisers including 12 Lakh MT of Urea on Government account during 2019-20.
National Fertilizers is second largest producer of Nitrogenous Fertilizers in the India commanding 16.5% of market share. The company also manufactures spectrum of industrial products which include Methanol, Sodium Nitrate, Sodium Nitrite, Nitric Acid, Sulphur, Liquid Oxygen, Liquid CO2, Liquid Nitrogen etc.
