NMDC resumes construction activity of Nagarnar plant in Chhattisgarh

NMDC has resumed construction activity of its first steel plant coming up at Nagarnar in Chhattisgarh. The construction work of the plant being set up at a cost of over Rs 20,000 crore was stopped in the wake of lockdown announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi last month.

NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
