Bharti Airtel rings loud on the bourses

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 530.45, up by 16.10 points or 3.13% from its previous closing of Rs. 514.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 510.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 540.05 and Rs. 499.00 respectively. So far 892514 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 568.60 on 18-Feb-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 312.95 on 09-May-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 540.05 and Rs. 484.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 290017.43 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 62.70%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.54% and 6.71% respectively.

Bharti Airtel has selected Ceragon's products and services for additional 4G network expansion beginning first quarter of 2020. The company is looking to increase network capacity to address rising demand for broadband amid sharp rise in data consumption across India. 

The telecom operator is also looking to increase 4G network capacity in urban locations and expand coverage in rural regions as well as prepare for its future evolution to 5G. Ceragon is working closely with Airtel to pursue rapid deployment of its microwave radios, as best it can, considering India's recent temporary lockdown.
