Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is planning to gradually restart passenger train operations from May 12, 2020. The services will restart initially with 15 pairs of trains (30 return journeys).
Tickets can only be booked online via IRCTC website or through the Mobile App from 4 pm on May 11 and ticket counters will remain closed and no counter tickets including platform tickets) will be issued for the time being.
IRCTC is the only entity authorised by the Indian railways to provide catering services to railways, online railway tickets and packaged drinking water at railway stations and trains in India.
