Physical Rubber prices showed some firmness on Wednesday on enquiries from the non tyre sector. However, buyer resistance in the market following rumours that lockdown might be extended in the wake of increasing positive corona virus cases across the country, capped the gains in rubber prices. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety remained unchanged at Rs 115/kg; while the RSS-5 variety rose to 110/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 109/ kg.
In the futures market, June delivery gained to Rs 119.29 compared to its previous closing of Rs 117.39, while July delivery was at Rs 119.50 compared to its previous close of Rs 117.48 on the Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX).
