Wipro gains on bagging infrastructure modernization, digital transformation contract from E.ON

Wipro is currently trading at Rs. 222.50, up by 1.85 points or 0.84% from its previous closing of Rs. 220.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 222.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 223.95 and Rs. 221.15 respectively.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 287.90 on 26-Jun-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 159.60 on 19-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 223.95 and Rs. 213.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 126089.09 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.04%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.47% and 8.04% respectively.

Wipro has been awarded a strategic, multiyear infrastructure modernization and digital transformation services engagement by Germany based energy company E.ON. The company will transform E.ON’s legacy data centre operations to hybrid cloud model by leveraging its BoundaryLess Enterprise (BLE) framework and Wipro HOLMES, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation platform.

The company will collaborate with E.ON to reduce their data centre footprint, streamline its infrastructure and achieve operational agility by providing an integrated view of their data centre operations. The company’s consumption based hybrid cloud hosting strategy powered by AI will help E.ON optimize its workflows and deliver superior customer experience with increased efficiency.
