Tata Steel soars as its arm completes mining lease execution in Odisha

Tata Steel is currently trading at Rs. 334.00, up by 10.15 points or 3.13% from its previous closing of Rs. 323.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 325.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 335.30 and Rs. 324.50 respectively. So far 857696 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 514.70 on 03-Jul-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 250.90 on 30-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 337.60 and Rs. 312.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 39856.35 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.41%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 42.27% and 22.28% respectively.

Tata Steel Mining (TSML), a 100% subsidiary of Tata Steel, has successfully completed the mining lease execution for two leases namely Kamarda Chromite Mine and Saruabil Chromite Mine in Jajpur district in Odisha on June 26, 2020.

These mines were auctioned by the Government of Odisha and the leases are granted for a period of 50 years. Among the commercial leases expired on Mar 31, 2020, and auctioned, these are the first leases to be converted into mining leases, across India.
