Tata steel BSL declines on reporting 41% fall in crude steel production in Q1 FY21

Tata Steel BSL is currently trading at Rs. 21.20, down by 0.40 points or 1.85% from its previous closing of Rs. 21.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 22.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 22.00 and Rs. 21.05 respectively. So far 31863 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 32.55 on 14-Jan-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 15.25 on 23-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 22.00 and Rs. 20.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2307.16 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.65%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 11.11% and 16.24% respectively.

Tata Steel BSL has reported crude steel production of 659000 tonnes (Provisional) in Q1 FY21 as against 1122000 tonnes (Actual) in Q1 FY20. The production has decreased by around 41.27% on Y-o-Y basis.

Besides, the steel sales were at 694000 tonnes (Provisional) in Q1 FY21 as compared to 863000 tonnes (Actual) in Q1 FY20. The sales has decreased by around 19.58% on Y-o-Y basis.
