Titagarh Wagons (TWL) has acquired the shares held by Matiere S.A.S., France (Matiere), representing 50% of the paidup share capital of Matiere Titagarh Bridges (MTBPL), a joint venture company of TWL. As a result of the above, the shareholding of the company in MTBPL has changed from 50% to 100% and thus MTBPL has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company with effect from July 14, 2020.
TWL is the largest private sector manufacturer of railway coaches (EMUs, MEMUs) and the largest wagon maker (other than Railways).
