Mentha oil futures traded down on MCX as speculators trimmed their positions, followed by sluggish demand from domestic as well as overseas markets following concerns over surging corona virus cases around the globe. Moreover, rising supplies too added pressure on mentha oil prices.
The contract for July delivery was trading at Rs 964.10, down by 1.08% or Rs 10.50 from its previous closing of Rs 974.60. The open interest of the contract stood at 125 lots.
The contract for August delivery was trading at 978.00, down by 0.86% or Rs 8.50 from its previous closing of Rs 986.50. The open interest of the contract stood at 8 lots on MCX.
