Vodafone Idea rings loudly after paying additional Rs 1,000 crore to DoT

Vodafone Idea is currently trading at Rs. 9.49, up by 0.61 points or 6.87% from its previous closing of Rs. 8.88 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 9.48 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 9.69 and Rs. 9.20 respectively. So far 35555429 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 12.62 on 08-Jun-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2.61 on 15-Nov-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 10.09 and Rs. 7.17 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 27384.83 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.05%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 14.83% and 13.12% respectively.

Vodafone Idea has paid an additional Rs 1,000 crore to the Department of Telecom (DoT) towards the Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) dues. The fresh payment comes at a time when the Supreme Court is slated to hear the AGR matter on July 20. The company had earlier deposited Rs 6,854 crore in 3 tranches. With this, the company has paid an aggregate amount of Rs 7,854 crore towards the AGR dues.
