Sarda Energy & Minerals has informed that in the course of operations some abnormality was observed in one of the three turbines and the machine was shut down for inspection on 6th July 2020. Following the necessary guidelines / protocol required to inspect the machine and also to prevent spread of COVID 19, after opening and inspection by external technical experts it was observed that a part is damaged and requires repairing for which it has to be sent to the workshop of the contractor. It may take 2 to 3 months to restart the machine. In the meantime the company has arranged power from its wholly-owned subsidiary Sarda Metals & Alloys, so as to maintain the production at normal levels.
